Groundzero of the Coronavirus and the history of the pandemic

The epicenter of the Coronavirus or COVID-19 was in Wuhan China. It is believed to have started in a local fresh market that contained a mix of live seafood and poltry.

After patient zero became infected, it only took about 2 weeks for the entire city of Wuhan to enter a quarantine. At this point it was too late, millions had already left the city. As a result, the world sat on the brink of a pandemic.

Soon after the outbreak in China, cruise lines had experienced a similar fate as many cruises had to quarantine the entire boat. The Diamond princess docked in Japan was the worst ship effected as it was docked off the coast for many weeks. A month after the outbreak, a new outbreak started in Italy that resulted in the entire world getting put on lockdown by the World Health Organization.

The outbreak in Italy caused the United States to begin it's own social distancing measures as an attempt to contain the virus. It began as a 6 feet distance from two different people, to the entire shut down of a nation. Schools, resturants and businesses all shut down after 2 weeks of the outbreak in Italy.
